A Time to Dream

Why do I feel like we're walking in circles?

Going around the same path over and over

Reaching the same dead end

and wondering how we manage to end up there

time and time again

Chasing the same thoughts day after day

Never able to catch them

As they race away into the distance

Slowly slipping from our grasp

Running after the same dreams night after night

Waking up to watch them disappear

And wishing to fall back into the sleep

Of a reality that doesn't quite exist
