My first fully written out song. I might add chord notations to it if I ever finalize those. I find the chorus a bit repetitive, any thoughts about improvements would be helpful!

Walking down the street

One early Sunday morning

Watching people pass by around me

They got things to do

Got places to go

And I’m just wandering aimlessly

-

Everybody’s changing

Their worlds rearranging

And I’m stuck standing here in neutral

The same thing over and over

I cannot break this cycle

As everyone goes speeding on by

-

Falling through the clouds

Crashing to the ground

As the wind howls ferociously

Unveiling the future

While shrouding the past

The truth doesn’t come quietly

-

Everybody’s changing

Their worlds rearranging

And I’m stuck standing here in neutral

The same thing over and over

I cannot break this cycle

As everyone goes speeding on by

-

Going up in flames

This blaze cannot be tamed

The fires burning all around me

Crackling, sizzling never stopping

This is life it just keeps on rocking

Birth, death, and somewhere in between

-

Everybody’s changing

Their worlds rearranging

And I’m stuck standing here in neutral

The same thing over and over

I cannot break this cycle

As everyone goes speeding on by

-

Walking down the street

One late Sunday evening

Watching the crowds mingle around me

Am I a part of it

Or is it a part of me

It all just seems to consume me

-

Everybody’s changing

Their worlds rearranging

And I’m stuck standing here in neutral

The same thing over and over

I cannot break this cycle

As everyone goes speeding on by

-

As evertone goes speeding on by

-

As the world goes speeding on by
