Medical Waste

Well, wouldn’t you know
That time has come that we’ve all been dreading
Cover up the truth with faux glow
Nobody knows the lies that you’ve been spreading
Shoved in a room after years
Of tearing down old grudges
We stand alone trying to regroup with others
That we had used to hold up in great fears

There she goes – didn’t you see her?
Look at how much she has changed
She’s the kind that’s against a cure
The type that doesn’t seem to age

Would you look at him now?
He’s completely doused in his success
A wrinkle of stress above his brow
That shows he’s a total mess

Everybody’s gotten up and tried to prove
That they’re something better
If only their lies could soothe
Such fickle, devious minds. Sure,
That’s what they want us to think
Stand up, let’s all have a drink
We’re going to down our lies
Look at us now, time sure flies…

Isn’t that the girl that was always lonely?
The one that always looked to be a phony
What it comes down to now is that she
Won’t say a word but inside she will seethe

There’s the boy that stole from us
The one that we would never give our trust
He’s looking at us like we’re the suspects,
Like we had always been one of the long-lost rejects

And here I stand alone in a corner
Spotting all across the way my former
Friends and enemies alike
While I wish for a delightful fight
I’m still a little girl with a syringe in hand
And hefty amount of antidotes
Who’d have thought that this is where I’d land
As I inject my madness in your throats
I have one will, a dream you might say
And that’s to cut your fibs – bring me a scalpel
And someone to keep me at bay
I’ll make sure that there won’t be anymore lies to tell
But that’s an undesignated fate
What an utter medical waste

Isn’t it a shock
That time has passed that we’ve all been dreading
Sealed up all our lies with a lock
We’re pissed off because the truth we’d been betting
Shoved in a room after years
Of building up our main defenses
We stand alone trying to clear our senses
After we finished all of our false cheers
What an utter medical waste
