‘I don’t know how I’m going to last this through!’ I exclaimed. I was extremely afraid of flying.

‘Don’t worry, Ma’m’, the flight attendant smiled.

‘Chyeah’, I muttered worriedly as I headed off towards the middle of the plane.

‘Please tell me you’ve flown before’, I whispered, flopping myself into the chair beside someone before clinging desperately to the arm rests.

‘Millions of times, are you all right?’ the voice beside me whispered. I gathered he was looking at me as I saw the body tilt forward ever so slightly.

‘I hate flying’, I breathed, grabbing my bag off of the floor in front of me and sitting it on my lap. It was full of everything to keep me amused, to keep me from thinking about the flight.

‘Don’t worry, it really isn’t that bad’, he smiled. I turned to look at him nodding quickly before looking at the headrest in front of me.

‘I’ll have to try and take your word for it’; I tried to smile at him but flinched as the captain came over the speaker.

‘We will be taking off soon, ladies and gentlemen, just sit tight’, cheered the captain.

‘Oh god’, I heard someone else down the plane.

‘Look, my name is James Bourne, I’ve flown millions of times, and I’m still here. The plane is not going to crash, so you’ll be fine’, James reassured me. I really hadn’t even being paying attention to the fact that I was sitting next to him. It finally hit me that he was the reason why I was on this gosh darn it plane, I was going to London to see him and his band.

‘I wouldn’t be on this plane if it wasn’t for you and your bloody band’; I breathed.

‘What?’ James asked taken aback.

‘I’m flying to see you and your band, I wouldn’t be on this plane if it wasn’t for your band’, I repeated, trying to breath slowly.

‘Oh, what’s your name?’ James asked, taking my hand.

‘Jaimee’, I breathed, clenching onto his hand tight as the planes engine started up.

‘Don’t worry, Jaimee, we’ll get through this’, James smiled, giving my hand a reassuring squeeze.

‘I hope so’, I squeaked as the plane took off down the runway.

‘Do you drink?’ James muttered, pressing the flight attendant button.

‘Uh, No’, I lied. Of course I did.

‘How may I help you?’ smiled the flight attendant.

‘Can I please have a coldie?’ asked James as the flight attendant smiled.

‘I’ll be right back, anything for you miss?’ asked the flight attendant smile faltering, James still hadn’t let go of my hand.

‘Um, can I please have a Mocha chill?’ I asked with a smile.

‘I’ll be right back with your order’, the flight attendant smiled, touching James lightly on the shoulder before leaving.

‘I think she fancies you’, I laughed as James cringed.

‘She’s what, 7 years older than me…’ James cringed again as I cracked up laughing. The flight attendant came back, handed us both our drinks and then walked off to tend to another person.

‘Here’, he said handing me the coldie.

‘Oh god, thank you!’ I exclaimed as he just nodded.

‘You said you didn’t drink’, he smirked, as I smiled, and took a swig of the coldie.

‘I lied, sue me’, I smirked, ‘I haven’t had a coldie for awhile’; I smiled.

‘Ahh, so you have had a drink before’, he smirked.

‘Hmm’, I smirked as he laughed.

‘Looks like this is it’, smiled James, shaking my hand.

‘Yeah’, I nodded.

‘I might see you at the concert’, James pointed out as the rest of Son of Dork walked over.

‘Yeah, that’d be cool’, I smiled as James gave me a hug.

‘Look, if I don’t see you at the concert, call me’, James whispered in my ear, placing a small slip of paper in my pocket.

‘We got to go, man’, muttered someone from behind him.

‘Bye’, I shouted as I headed for a man that seemed to be holding a sign saying: “Jaimee Mortimer and Guest”.

‘I’m Jaimee’; I smiled at the guy.

‘No guest?’ he asked.

‘Uh, no, no one wanted to come with me’, I smiled holding out my hand. The guy smiled and shook it.

‘Hey, well I’m your limo driver for the next week, and you really don’t need to know my name, but it’s Brock’, he muttered taking my luggage off of me and walking me out to a long, shiny black Limo.

‘Thanks, Brock’, I laughed as he opened the door for me. ‘Whoa’, was all I was able to say as I stared around the spacious limo.

‘I told you I’d see you at the concert’, James whispered in my ear.

‘How did you even know I was here?’ I cheered, hugging him after I turned around.

‘I’ve been keeping my eye on the gate’; he smiled, as he hugged me back.

‘You really missed me that much?’ I joked as he smiled and hugged me again. People were beginning to stare. We were in a slightly “secluded” spot outside of the gates.

‘Who’s your friend?’ Steve smiled walking up.

‘Guys, this is Jaimee, this chick…’ James started.

‘Ah, so I’m known as “The Chick” now?’ I laughed.

‘Guys’, James started again, ‘This is Jaimee, the girl from the plane’.

‘Better’, I smiled as the guys came forward to shake my hand.

‘Hey James…’ Dave paused as both James and I looked at him from our current spot in front of the TV, ‘Jaimee, do you know where Danny is?’

Now, I had somehow met up with James one day while I was shopping, after the concert and he had invited me to stay the rest of my time in the UK with him and the band. Truthfully, I was going to stay until the guys had had enough of me.

‘Um’, I answered ‘I think he’s at the corner park,’ and I smiled at the blonde cutie and looked back at the screen.

‘Thanks’, he said absentmindedly as he headed for the front door, ‘Why’s he at the park?’ When he got no answer, he shrugged and headed out the door.

‘James’, I muttered trying desperately to pry my eyes away from the game of final fantasy James and I were currently playing on the TV.

‘Hmm?’ he said absent-mindedly.

‘Where’s Dave and Danny, I haven’t seen them since like an hour or so ago’, I yelled unnecessarily loud as I paused the game and James turned to look at me.

‘Dunno, but do you think we should check?’ James asked actually caring about something other than the game.

‘Do you think we should, they could be having a nervous breakdown or something, and having someone you hardly know see you crying isn’t exactly a uplifter’, I said to James who I hadn’t noticed had already stood up and walked into the kitchen. ‘I take that as a no’.

‘No’, James shouted from the kitchen, walking out with two beers.

‘I always thought you British people drank beer warm’, I smiled, taking a beer off of him.

‘Hm, I dunno, cold tastes so much better’, James smiled.

‘Ahah!’ I cheered. ‘I’m turning you Aussie!’

‘Yes, you are aren’t you’, he smiled, picking up the controller again and starting up the game.

’Where were you two?’ I asked, easily prying my eyes away from the TV just to smile oh so evilly at them.

‘I was at the store’, Danny said, feeling slightly uncomfortable under my gaze.

‘And you?’ I said, my gaze faltering as I realised Danny was telling the truth.

‘I walked to the corner deli and went and got chips and shit for tonight’, Dave said seriously.

‘Oh ok’, I said feeling slightly disheartened that there was no special gossip.

‘Yo, what are we having for dinner?’ Steve asked, eating an apple as he walked in and flopped on the couch.

‘Why did you look at me when you said that?’ I asked, looking rather annoyed.

‘I don’t know, maybe because you went and did the shopping that’s sitting on the bench in the kitchen?’ Steve suggested.

‘Guess again’, James added, as we continued playing the game.

‘Well then who did?’ Steve asked confused.

‘Dave’, I mumbled, holding the controller high up and pulling a face as I was fighting someone.

‘Well, then Dave, what are we having for dinner?’ Steve asked as Dave shrugged and looked at me.

‘I’ll cook’, I sighed, exiting my player, leaving James to fend for himself.

‘I love having a girl in the house’; Danny smiled, flopping on the other end of the couch.

‘I heard that’, I cheered, although secretly on the inside I was cheering that they liked having me around.

‘Oh god, I think I might puke, that’s just gross’, I shouted pausing the movie.

‘Who gave her the remote?’ Chris complained.

‘Look at lover boy James’, Dave growled. Every time something gross appeared, I’d pause the movie and hide my face in one of the guy’s arms beside me, being either James or Steve.

‘Hey, she’s pretty strong’, James whined.

‘Look’, Chris sighed, ‘Jaimee give me the remote, I promise the monsters won’t get you’.

‘Do not make fun of me, Chris’, I grumbled, cozing up to Steve. Everybody but me could see the look of disappointment on James’ face.

Chris started the movie again and I ducked my face behind Steve’s arm. ‘Sorry, mate’, Steve mouthed to James who just shrugged and lent away from us.

Half way through the movie, I found my way over to James’ shoulder and had fallen asleep.

‘Hey’, James whispered to me, shaking me slightly. ‘Go to bed’.

‘No’, I grumbled, leaning off James and resting my head in Steve’s crutch. ‘Don’t make me go to bed’.

‘I won’t, here’, Steve said lifting me, and indicating for James to place a pillow in his lap – to which he did – before laying my head down on James.

‘Guy’s, I’m off to bed’, Danny announced after the movie had finished.

‘Same’, Chris yawned, looking over to James. I had disappeared and James was asleep.

‘Where’d she go?’ Steve yawned, causing Danny to yawn.

‘Where’s Dave?’ Danny asked as all three of them look at each other.

Rushing upstairs as quietly as they could they knocked softly on Dave’s door and opened it, revealing a scantly clad me under the covers while Dave was on top of the covers with another doona.

‘This is not good’, Steve sighed, rubbing his eyes. ‘Someone go and get James and put him to bed’.

‘I will’, Danny yawned.
