A temperate mood at late nights hour,

Stoic philosophy, come in melancholy,

I sit right back and take a moment for me.

The house is quiet, serenities sleep,

A simple hush, a healing rush,

I sit right back and take a moment for me.

Low, long melodies slink to sound,

Grieving introspection, carry forth reflection,

I sit right back and take a moment for me.

Tears will rise so rest my devotion,

My heart pours over, emotion driven disclosure,

I sit right back and take a moment for me.

Wipe my eyes and I see you again,

Smiling through, soul light anew,

I sit right back and take a moment for me.

The loss so fresh, no years allay,

Comfort abide, these feelings I hide,

So I’ll sit right back and take a moment for me.
