The Woman I’ll Become

I thought about

All the memories

And experiences I had while growing up

They flash before me this summer night

Moments of sadness

Moments of pure joy and so many other moments

As I have grown

Filling me with so many emotions

But now I’m thinking

About the woman I’ll become

Only a few more years

And a woman I’ll be

Strong, beautiful, kind and and helpful to those in need

I’ll be starting a new chapter in these coming months

As I am stating anew... a new life

And my dreams...that seemed so far away are closer than ever

A fingertip away

Yet awaiting for the one that was meant to come along to share with me my dreams, hopes and secrets

Friends to learn from and share life in its beauty

I’ll be there offering a hand

Because of the woman I’ll become......
