Dolce Amore

Sweet Love

I wake up to the morning sun that pierces through the white curtains

With its warm and golden rays

As I open my eyes slowly and

I begin to hear another beautiful bird song

So calm and yet so lively

Yet very sweet and lovely

My heart with each beat feels this emotion

Where the rays of the sun warms my heart

As thoughts started to slip quietly into my mind

While the song of the bird was in the background of the

Memories of last summer which started reappearing

As if it just happened yesterday

When we first met

Your first words being “I like you”

I guess you saw right through me

Even though I didn’t want to fall for you

Yet you knew in the end we were meant to be

Holding me with your affectionate and yet strong arms

Like a precious gem

Kissing my neck so gently

And letting me know that it was for real not just another of my dreams

You saw right through me

You somehow knew we would be right for one another

As our heart intertwined and our love grew

Then one day you pushed me away

I think I comprehend why

You were afraid of getting hurt since I was leaving

To go back home

Where my life was awaiting my return

Thinking that I will forget what once happened

And move on

As you’ve been left once before by your love

But not I…

Our love and friendship will never die

So please don’t you cry

Cause I will never forget your warm and delicate touch

That I miss so much

Each day and night

Promise me to not push me away cause I will not let you down

Love can withstand about anything when it’s true

When its real

I want to tell you when the right moment comes that our memories

Keep me going whenever life gets though

Because it’s a sweet love

Dolce Amore

I whispered as I woke up from a dream

Feeling your closeness
