My dear:

Love is not a thing that comes to those who wait; nor is it a thing that comes even once in a lifetime to all. There is no fate that makes people love. There are no grand schemes behind the matters of love and romance. There are only those who want to love, and those who want, and do, love. I want you to know this, not because I have no hope for us, butso that you know that when I say I love you, I say it, not because I have no other choice, but because I want to—because nothing makes me quite as happy to say it. I do not know for sure if true love is something that is real, although I know that what we have right now is—and being real is as true as it needs to be.
