Release

There was this girl,

a pretty girl,

who only was pretty in the eyes of others.

She overdosed on pills,

starved herself ill,

and she thought her life was over.

Then one day,

A boy came to say,

"you're the prettiest girl in the world."

And with that he took her hand,

and they ran, ran, ran

to a place no one had been.

She felt so happy,

she never new she could be this happy,

and so she closed her eyes.

He looked at her once more,

and he knew who he adored,

and he left her empty shell on the floor.
