Growing

I wish for a better day

As I grow every everyday

I grow a year older

With each passing day

I am a child no longer

Yet the childhood memories remain

Deep in my soul

Shall it rain

To wash away my tears of sadness and my broken heart

I was hurt once and twice

But I’m in control

And I feel strong again

I grown again today

My heart feels better than ever

I am okay

It’s a better day

I can smile again

I can see things that I haven’t seen before

I want to go and explore

What’s out there in this world

As the simple beauty of nature

See things differently

Now do I realize

How blind was I

Not to see such simple things

But it’s all right

Because I have learned and grown today
