Kate always wanted to someday attend the Academy. As a surprise for her birthday her parents told her that she could attend for a month the Cadets, which was more of the basic training as well as more was happy yet her want to attend the Academy could not leave her. However, she decided to go anyway so she can find out more and get a glimpse of what it would be like. Her young cousellor, Danni, noticed that she looked intently at the crew from the Academy one day when they were boarding a ship for some training. There was something in her eye that he saw that told him that she wished to be part of the team. So he went to talk to the counsellor in charge of the Academy team; however it is up for the whole team to decide whether they want her on the team or not.
