hollow

swallow up the sky
it's waiting to disappear into nothing: void.
motionless, yet creeping along the edges
a single glimpse of imperfection waiting to surface.

signal our remains of decaying flesh,
whats left of our story. ending in doubt
and our sanity (hanging by a single whisper)

the silence caves in,
we're drowning
and we're drowning in unanswered questions
waiting for our sentience.

and when it's over we'll wonder why we never thought
of it before.
