“Lost at Sea”

Lost in the sea of my confusion,

Drowning in sorrows piled high o’er my head.

Tossing and turning with waves of uncertainty

Enveloping me in sorrow, depression and dread

As I look to the horizon

For a friendly beacon of light

Alas there is none

All around me it is night

And the waves are crashing forevermore

Woe betide for me there is no way out

I look all around but there is no door

Will anyone hear my last dreadful shout

As I’m swallowed whole by the unforgiving sea

Of bewilderment that hath so consumed me?
