Utopia

In a world full of challenge, of prejudice, and scorn

Where man turns against his brother, where every rose has its thorn.

A tremendous wistfulness fills my head and heart

As I dream of a place where authority is respected

Where no one is torn apart.

But I wake, and the world is all wrong and difficult still

And heaven is slowly slipping from our grasp

Disappointment weighs down, so sad it makes me feel

For my perfect world, my utopia, it seems

Exists only in nowhere else but my dreams.
