Chapter IV

Sam was home alone. Nothing was working around him. No more electricity,
someone had blowed the central this morning. His brother and sister were gone,
God only knew. His mom and his dad were gone somewhere where they could die
surrounded by family. Him? He decided to take it slowly. He could do nothing against
it and he would die like he wanted. He had no news of his friends, and he had cried all
tears his body could produce for them. He had lost hope... But not all of it. He took a
knife out of his bedroom and went outside. Cries, shouts, explosions... All that surrounded
him right now. With the foul odor of stagnant water and sulfur. He walked to his nearest
friend house. All he saw was the remnant of a fire and few skeleton in the basement. He
saw two skulls next of each other and recognized the ring on the hands of each other...

Mick and Caro.... they had finally decided to marry themselves upon that day. Together
until death. For them, it was only for a few minutes. He went on....

Nath was outside.. Her father had pulled her out of the house and locked the door.
She didn't deserve to be protected by these walls, he said, before pushing her on the ground.
He kicked her in the stomach before telling her the last words he would ever say to her..

-"Why you?"

He closed the door and went back to whatever he could do in a situation like that.
She remained there until someone poked her gently on the shoulder. Looking up, she
saw a worried face of a stranger. His face was thin and he looked sick but in his eyes,
she could see that he understood what she felt.... He never lived what she lived, but
he was ready to accept the burden of some of it.. What she felt ready to spare..

Sam helped her to get up, and they begun to walk... Looking at the last vision the world
had to offer them before the End.
