Why should I feel my brilliance

through poetry?

If it is even that.

Habitually I rest and

refuse a single note before

removing my soul from my mind

and inspecting every pore.

Does education make me brighter?

Sometimes I reach into my heart

and remove a secret voice

I only allow drilled into paper.

perhaps I am too quiet or

selfish for not allowing the

glowing orb to escape.

Guilt my trap my larynx from sharing

but it is not my fault others

are unwilling to listen.
