Ugly

I see ugly

when I look at you

and reflected to me:

her face- ugh!

I tried pruning,

that’s en eternal job!

The painting?

Seriously?

Every morning?

Sparkles are awful-

too much unwanted attention.

I could shut my eyes,

pretend it doesn’t exist,

but then how could ugly

ever look its best?
