"Here..." said the figure as they handed Ice an ice pack.

Ice didn't say a word as she placed the ice pack on her forehead. Somewhere inside she was grateful this person showed up, but Ice truly wanted to die.

"Why were you letting your life go?" they sat right in front of Ice. "You were never like this before...Hell, neither of us was like this, till we met them."

"Fyre..." she looked up at her best friend. "Do you regreat meeting Trance?"

Fyre's icy silver eyes met Ice's orange eyes. "In the beginning I did." she got up and went to the window. "I thought to myself everyday and night that I couldn't do this. All the emotions I had left me...Left us when we were ten years-old..."

Ice knew she sounded so sad. "You didn't answer me. Do you regret meeting him?"

"That's not what you mean..." she stared at the back of Ice's long firey red hair.

'How do you know what I mean?" Ice asked.

"Hm...We grew up together. We're like sisters." Fyre started. "I know what you think, you know what I think. We can finish each other's sentences and we both have kept a secret from our boss."

A sigh escaped Ice's mouth. "Yes...It would mean big trouble for us if it were to get out."

Both girls grew silent now...Everything that was said was said between them. As Fyre stated they were best friends...Sisters even. Slade didn't call them the Diamond Sisters for nothing. They always worked as a team no matter what.

"You didn't answer my question though." her head was really hurting now. How hard did she hit the window sill? This hurt worse than the time she had something thrown at her by a kid.

"Whatever do you mean, partner?" asked Fyre.

"As I asked earlier...Do you regret meeting Trance?" she repeated.

"And I think I remember saying that's not what you mean." Fyre sat once again on the coffee table in front of Ice.

Ice knew Fyre was right. "Well, I suppose I mean..." she paused. Her head really did hurt now. "Do you regret loving him?"

Fyre stood up and started walking to the door. "I got a mission to go on. Slade is leaving you out of business affairs. My temporary partner will be Myca." she touched the doorknob.

"Fyre stop and answer my question." Ice stood up.

"You know the answer." Fyre started to open the door, but it was abruptly closed.

"Damn it...Stop hiding what you feel from me." Ice turned Fyre around. "Tell me...I have to know...Do you regret loving Trance?"

Fyre was stunned from the force. Never has Ice gotten like this. She closed her eyes. "After being with him since we met, I always came back to you, because I thought I was going crazy. I had to have reassurance about who I was..." she had to pause because tears started. "I am an assassin, I am not suppose to love anyone."

Ice watched as her eyes squeezed tightly. "What are you saying?"

"I don't regret ever loving Trance." pushing Ice away, Fyre darted out the door without a good-bye.

Ice stood stunned. She couldn't move or anything. Still taking in what was just said.
