GET ON WITH IT

Writing by the closet light
cats and kittens play around the bed
my wife in the other room
finishing a chapter in her book
what am I waiting for?
what divine act of God?
My life's begun
get on with it
start looking at houses
start making babies
these things and your dreams
won't collide
I've always had the strangest feeling
that I can't have both
I smell the clean sheets
I want to make love to my wife
I want for you
little one
I guess you'll be my greatest
achievement
I love you
who ever you are
