I can barely stand the final night

Of the pain I’ve had to suffer

I’ve waited so long and felt so strong

Until I tasted how close you really are

I fall hard to the floor smashing my head

Blood drips from the wound I’ve acquired

So weak are my knees like nothing will hold

My eyelids are heavy with exhaustion

Nights have gone by with no ounce of rest

My thoughts only lay on your face

Speaking of how I will approach you next

My heart sulks in despair as you’re gone

Tomorrow drives closer and air leaves my lungs

I can only fear what dawn will bring

Death oh so common and could visit your door

Taking you away for so much longer

Sad songs are ringing in my ear

I should be filled with abundant light

But I’ve waited so long and felt so strong

Until I tasted how close you really are.

Though I am slightly crazy and insecure

You still hold me tight when I cry

The night has gone by and I’m speaking to you

No more pain is left to suffer.
