Death’s Party

(A/N: This is a far cry from what I usually write. Heh I’m just experimenting with different concepts I guess…)

Outside, looking in

There’s a party going on inside

Locked out from the world

What you wouldn’t give to be one with the sweaty bodies

Just to forget with each shot

Dance with the reflected lights

The noise drowning out your thoughts

Heavy hardcore music jarring you

Pushing you to your limits

Spilled drinks on the floor

Friction heating up the air

With each kiss, each lovebite tells a different story

Of lust, of despair, of desperation, of wanting to forget

Tears and dirty smirks

Smudged makeup in the chaos

Next to naked bodies, sticky with sweat, rubbing against each other

Drunk boys and girls, lips pressed together

Tongues seeking entry into mouths reeking of alcohol

There’s no better place to break

Death is dancing somewhere in the middle of the room, beckoning you to join it

You want in

And as the tears fall, you know no locked door is going to stop you.
