You don’t need to know the day of the year or even the year itself, it will make no difference to you people anyway. My name isn’t really that important, not anymore anyway but for your information its Jake Hayes. I could tell you the month but I could only if I knew it myself, its snowing today but for all we know in a week it could be hotter then hell. I remember the thought of a nuclear winter, i always thought it meant it would always snow, but those damn scientist had no idea what would happen. Weather patterns don’t really exist anymore, not after that many nukes went off. You know I would give a lot for this world to finally die out. I remember the television screens, all the news channels screamed that the end of the world was coming, but they didn’t know we wouldn’t be lucky enough to have that. I remember who fired first but i cant tell you who fired after that, i just know everyone did. Countries you hadn’t even heard of had weapons to use and they all used them. I should prolly of started from the beginning but to tell you the truth i like how i started this....I guess im just glad I started it at all.....

The year, yet again it all blurs to me, is somewhere in the 00's. I know it wasn’t to far from 2006 since I still remember graduation and all my friends from back then too. I can only tell you it was in December, just before Christmas. North Korea had just successfully used a long range missile in a test run. I remember all the news reports and the media coverage. China was strongly behind them while Japan was secretly preparing preemptive attacks. The next day when I picked up the newspaper my whole world shattered. The headline was on every news channel, newspaper, and magazine printed that day JAPAN ATTACKS NORTH KOREA. The strike was precise and happened while we were all sleeping. I remember all the news channels had their analyst telling us what this meant to us, I found it funny since all of them were telling us completely different situations and scenarios. I remember Fox was telling us it meant war while at the same time CNN was saying treaties and talks were going on with China within hours of the initial attack. I really don’t think anyone really expected what happened next…

A/N: Wow i know this is really jumpy and wierd but when people write in a journal or even talk they digress alot and they dont realize it, they jump topics within their main point and i wanted to capture that out of my character. The story is far from over but i am going to get more done before i submit anymore. I know the way i wrote this prolly turned some of you off but i think it makes the character more believable, to some that is something they dont like. I would really like some feedback on this and what you think is going on from what you read. Heck E-mail me if you want to put alot of feedback.
