Putting socks with rocks
In them
Through the spin cycle

Bouncing, grinding
Gnashing, breaking,

Is a lot like doing
Math homework.

The numbers tumble
twist and turn,
and just break apart in general.

Bouncing across the paper
Swimming through my
Watery eyes
Bleeding ink

Illegible and just plain
Confused

The numbers, lines and dots,
And x's laugh hard,
Clamourously
Into my ears

Throwing rocks on my head
Like socks with rocks in them,
Through the spin cycle.
