I

I hear the music filling my ears tonight
I feel the soft howl of the wind
I shiver.

I walk through the sea of people
dancing the night away
I grimace.

I see the stars pasted on the dark blue sky
almost like diamonds submerged in chasm
I smirk.

I sense the chill of the night
feeling a bit wary, but restless
I sigh.

I remember the tainted days of innocence
broken under the sight of crimson
I remain.

I see you there standing with your familiar smile
amid the sea of empty faces
I grin.

“Tell me, have you seen my soul tonight?”
