A small mermaid with big dreams to dance and to live high above the sea. To walk on two legs on a sandy beach, not have a fin when I’m sick of swimming. To bask in the sun’s warmth and to just be free, not trapped in watery depths away from where my heart truly lies.

My heart. I had been offered a chance with you but was tricked and thrown back into the water. You braved the wrath of the seven deadly seas to set me free from the sea witch’s grasp. And because our love was strong and true I was granted my wishes of a life with you above the sea, not under it.

My Prince. You escaped from prison and cut your way through the wall of thorns and bushes. You fought off the witch and slayed the fire-breathing dragon. You were the one to awaken me from a spelled sleep, my true love, with true love’s first kiss.

Just a girl who lives a life in fantasy while waiting for her knight in shining armor to appear at her door step. Sick of a life in reality and cursed to make dreams or stories the life I would rather lead. But no matter how I dream, it is you who is always by my side.
