Pain And Grief

To feel the pain,

The pain of losing those close to you.

To feel the grief,

The grief of being haunted by their memories of their existence.

You want it to stop.

For it to all go away.

For it all to end.

For it all to disappear.

It hurts so much that you are willing,

Willing to end it yourself.

But you don't,

You don’t want others to feel what it is you feel.

There are times when you believe if you die,

You’ll see them again.

But you won’t,

And you know it.

This is how I feel.

Many of those close to me are dying.

And there is nothing I can do.

But hope,

Hope the others will be safe.
