No answer is simple enough
I could write an essay
for the reasons why
I feel this way

I guess the best way
to summarize it all is
that I see you
I see your strengths
I see your weaknesses

I've seen you at your best
I've seen you at your worst
I've seen you harsh and cold
I've seen you caring and gentle
I've seen you sorrow and frustration

I've seen your smile
I've seen your anger
I've seen your love
I've seen every aspect of you

and through it all
you're the person
that I always want
to be around

I'm willing to break myself
I'm not afraid anymore
I'm willing to hurt and bleed
for days without rest or pause
so that you won't hurt anymore

and I tell you this
despite me knowing your answer
not to change your mind
but just so you know it all
because you wanted to know why
why everytime I see you
I have to look away

it's because everything about you
is beautiful to me
and I don't care if
you don't love me
I just want you to know
what's in my heart

and if you like
this would be the last time
it's mentioned
if you like
you can forget I ever said it

all I want
is for you to continue
to stay the way we are now
if nothing more is possible
