Eclipse of the Winter Sun

Sun is setting,
Kiss the rain.
Moon is rising,
Stop the pain.
The stars are cold
And all is still.
Only darkness hides the shame.
Her heart is beating,
Her breath is hot.
The rope is slipping,
No longer taut.
Light is fading,
Souls are dying.
The winter sun has been eclipsed.
