White Forest
As the wind blows he watches,
The figure of haunt and taunt;
He cannot control the anger inside,
Burning on as she is taken away.
The stolen pain that she fought off,
Creeps its way back into the life,
Of the one person she promised, she’d always stay.
He lay in his bed that night,
And he whispered to her, words he knew,
‘This year will change; I hope we stay close,’
Replied with truth, she wanted the same.
That first day, what he feared happened,
Drifting back into a slumber he went,
Where was she now, he couldn’t see her face,
She was away from him, he was alone and scared.
Time dragged by, he hoped things would change,
It did not, and he felt their bond falling.
(Can’t you hear me screaming? I’m longing for you)
He lay in his bed that night,
And he whispered to her, words he knew,
‘This year will change; I hope we stay close,’
Replied with truth, she wanted the same.
Her love given had broken through his heart,
It had torn open a world of white,
A forest where all his secrets where hers,
But would she always hide them, in the forests depths,
He could not be sure, but he had to try,
Against all the odds, someone would take her away.
(I trust you, I always will)
He lay in his bed that night,
And he whispered to her, words he knew,
‘This year will change; I hope we stay close,’
Replied with truth, she wanted the same.
