Visions of your allure haunt my dreams

I cannot escape your captivating glare

You cause my heart to burst at the seams

Enveloping my senses, you lay me bare

Temptation is your power over me

I should not be so easily overtaken

Venomous as this attraction may be

I can’t deny the desires you awaken

Are you some demon bent on torture?

Or some product of ill contention

Your poison touch delivers rapture

As your words convey depredation

My heart was not mine to give

You have taken without remorse

Not as a slave, I must live

Lest there be some other recourse

To enrapture is to command

You charm me like a snake

I could give in to your demand

Then loose what is at stake

Your intensity is overwhelming

Alluring voices resonate like strange harmonics

Your presence – unholy and condemning

How can I ever forget the color of onyx?
