A Letter To Heaven
Author's Note: This story was started by own will to write a letter to heaven, for my cats and grandmother to see. Girielle is, I guess, in a way, me. This isn't heaven as I see it, just heaven as it makes a good story fodder. I would be lying if I said that some of these characters aren't based on people I know... You just have to figure out who it is I'm trying to portray... Anyways, i'll end this author's not and allow you to continue on with reading--After I give you this food for thought: I started this story on 6/6/06. Mere Coincidence or not??? You decide when the story ends.
I've always wanted to write a letter to heaven. Wanted to know who would get this letter, would it be those it was intended for, or would it be someone like in the movie Message in a Bottle? Would someone find it? Track it down? Or would the hands of heaven pick it up, read it aloud, and let those that I love know that I'm still here, waiting for them to say hi? Well, I've decided. There's only one way to tell. Tonight, I'm gonna buy a helium baloon, a hole punch, and print out this letter. Then, I'll send it to my beloveds in the sky... Maybe I'll send more....
"That's all it says, Raphi," The black-haired man said, folding the letter. A black feather fell to the ground as his wings rustled while he walked. "There's nothing saying it's from Girielle, are you sure??"
Raphi nodded. "She always said she was going to send a letter to heaven, but she always wondered whether or not it would get here."
The man ran his hand through his black hair and sighed. "Raphi, I'm sorry, but I've got to continue to keep watch on you... Orders from above, y'know."
"I know. It's all right, Ziwen."
The letter had created quite a stir in Heaven, most though it from Lucifer. Possibly a message that the day of reckoning was upon them. Everyone knew that it was approaching, but they feared the letter for merely touching it could cast them down from their cloudy abode.
Humans always thought that those in Heaven always knew what was going on in each individual's life. Wrong. No one but God really knew, and he was usually too busy with other affairs to try and make someone prettier, richer, or make their life easier. Try being in his seat and they'd know what it was like!

Days passed, and another letter arrived. Ziwen read it aloud again to Raphi:
I don't want to be a whiny person, I bet you get letters like this all the time, but I was wondering... If you're getting this, can you tell me if my husband's with you? He should be pretty easy to spot... His hair's a brilliant cerulean blue, his eyes an emotionless grey, that are somehow very warm--At least when he looked at me. I know I ain't a saint, and I doubt that the big guy up there'll get this... I guess I'm just writing to make myself feel better.
Love,
Girielle
Raphi'e eyes lit up, "I told you! It's from my daughter!!!" His excitment was cut short by one glance from Ziwen.
"Raphi... the man she's describing, does he ring a bell?"
Raphi thought for a moment. Shock, then horror, crept over his face as he realized just who she was describing. "That means...."
Ziwen nodded gravely. "Lucifer has ascended to Earth, and is pulling off as a human."
A soft rustle of feathers made them both whirl around, startled. Foolishly laughing at themselves as the saw the intruder. A young female AIT, Angel-In-Training, was standing behind the curtain, partically concealed. "Ummm... Did you really say that he's on Earth?" She asked, green eyes wide with fear.
