I stand alone in the darkness of the world,

Waiting in the shadows for the day to come.

The day when darkness flees and shadows hide from the Light.

But today these shadows are hiding me.

Hiding me from the evil that possesses this world,

And from the hurt and pain that seems to rule over me.

Hiding me death’s dark shadow finally stops the agony,

Taking me to a place where the Light rules everything.

And until the day comes, I’ll be waiting.
