A/N: It's about how when you do something bad to someonewithout really meaning tobecause you werejustdoing your own thingthey just know it's your fault so they don't try and do anything about it so they drift away. But then when you try to do something about it they act like you were never their friend... and then afterwards you're so much more careful because it hurt you so much.

My Mistake

I was sitting on a rainbow
I watched you drift away
I guess I should have known
A better thing to say

The rain washed you away
Like the itsy bitsy spider
But though you can't climb walls
You should have tried a little harder

I flew off my rainbow
To try and fix my mistake
But when I held you close to me
You didn't know my face

One thing is certain
My memory's clear more often
Cause one thing you never forget
Is having been forgotten
