The broken body is curled up in its cell, telling truths and untruths and everything in between, about what was, what is, and what is yet to be. Murmurs, mutterings, laughter and screams erupt from the broken throat as it strains to be anywhere else.

At this time the memory of Chowlie finds its way into the broken brain. True or untrue is unimportant here, the fact that it no longer is or never was at all makes it welcome and perfectly suitable. Of all things, Chowlie, at that point on that part. Any Way, Chowlie.

Chowlie was six and he left the house to go find some candy. He walked and walked, but did not find any. He sat down and looked at a tree. Then, a green blob with eyes came down from heaven and landed on the tree. Chowlie asked the green blob if it knew where any candy was, and if it did could it go and get some and bring it to him. The green blob said a lot of things, but Chowlie wasn’t paying attention. He was thinking about turning into rainbow smoke and going up into the blue, blue sky. Then an evil guy came, but a good guy came and stopped him. Chowlie looked down and saw ants, and he watched them forever and ever, and asked the green blob why it was there. The green blob told Chowlie why it was there, then told him why everyone else was there. Chowlie asked the green blob if it knew where any candy was, and if it did could it go and get some and bring it to him.

A small hole appeared in the air near Chowlie and started to grow. Chowlie put a bowl on his head and started to march about like a soldier, but the green blob told him to stop it so he did. Then an excited guy in a gray suit fell down from heaven and got hurt. He got up later though and ran up to Chowlie. He started saying a bunch of things to Chowlie really fast and Chowlie put on a serious face and nodded a lot. Chowlie’s dog we4u890tn3p4ny68qw3vn8 ran up to the guy and bit him, though, so the guy ran away and hid behind a rock. Chowlie told e’tye0589nyw49p5ny7p5n that he should not have done that to the man and gave him a biscuit. They played fetch with balls for a while, but w0tnqwt4357835jip kept eating the balls. Chowlie walked over to the excited guy and tried to play fetch with him instead, but the excited guy just screamed so Chowlie walked back over to where he was before.

Chowlie threw a ball but it just landed there because ;p45pt7w4pw49p8 wasn’t there anymore. Chowlie took another ball and threw it at the tree, but the green blob told him to stop it. Chowlie took another ball and threw it at the hole, but it just disappeared. The green blob called Chowlie over to the tree. First, it told Chowlie to pick up the ball he threw at the tree. Then it told Chowlie that there are many, many things, and that they are all very important. It began to list all of the things that there are.

The broken body picks up the ball and stares at it in wonder. Light is coming into the cell.

Chowlie walked away while the green blob was still talking. It had its eyes closed, so it did not see him leave. Chowlie walked over to the hole in the air. It was almost as big as him now. e-s598w4w4578 came back but he was an elephant now. Chowlie laughed and laughed at this and told ’seri09t589we45o that he was being silly. tser89psepbs’p put on a hat and winked at Chowlie. Chowlie laughed and laughed.

The broken head turns upward on the broken neck and sees a big hole in the wall, with a blue, blue sky. It hasn’t seen light in thousands of years.

Chowlie ran over and jumped up on eptwq3w489p’s back. Millions of tiny little clouds were flying around up there, and Chowlie and tnun7p478 ran around together trying to catch one and laughing and laughing. Chowlie turned blue and 034awoe8;wer8o turned pink and the green blob turned a different kind of green and the excited guy just stayed regular. Here’s what all of them were saying at that time:

CHOWLIE: hoohoo, ha ha, this is so much fun, hoo hoo, ha ha

WEYU5Y89NWE4: haha yes i agree this is so much fun ha ha ha ha ha ha

THE GREEN BLOB: accidents, acclamations, acclivities, accolades, accommodations, accomplishments, accordions, accountants, accretions, accruals, accusations,

THE EXCITED GUY: government conspiracy they’re taking over the neighborhood a woman’s right to choose nuclear warfare hey hey look at that thing over there hey does anyone want to fight with me

Chowlie and we48o5w3948p8 fell down because they ran out of breath, then they rolled around on the grass laughing and laughing. Chowlie stopped laughing when he saw something in the hole. He got up and went over to it.

Clawing out, grasping any available handhold. Hauling itself up to its broken feet for the first time in countless ages it finally rises and looks out the hole. It sees Chowlie coming towards it. They look at one another for a long, long time. Then Chowlie asks the broken body for his ball back. It reaches down to pick up the ball, but when it looks back up it sees the hole is closing. The broken body dives for the hole, but it closes over too quickly and it slams into the wall. There are lots of screams and banging sounds. The broken body hurls itself at the wall, again and again, then striking it with the fists, the bones cracking and shattering, then with the broken skull. It collapses on the floor face down and makes many loud noises. The noises get softer and softer, though, and then they stop. Remembering.

Chowlie was six and was standing on top of the green, green grass and underneath the blue, blue sky. Standing next to him, all in a row, were his dog 39-q4vntu, a green blob with eyes, an excited guy, and a tree. There was a loud pop and a fizzle, and the sun went out. The green blob glowed in the dark, and the little clouds were like lightning bugs. Two gigantic eyes stared down from the black. Chowlie and e;trwetnebn8 looked around with big eyes and made new noises. The excited guy started jumping around and yelling new things. The little clouds picked him up by the foot and hung him upside down, and he got more excited. The green blob chuckled and nodded and said that it understood perfectly what was going on. Chowlie looked at sdery8sgry8we, and se478v5yae589 looked at Chowlie, and they both made their mouths into the shape of an ‘O’. Abraham Lincoln came down from heaven and taught them how to fly.

It was raining gigantic drops of rain.

The broken body doesn't move. It's trying to move, but it can't move.

Chowlie and w348e38q38989 and Abraham Lincoln zipped about in the air, chasing after the little clouds and dodging between the gigantic drops of rain. They were laughing and laughing. The green blob kept trying to tell them to stop it, but it just sounded like a horn. It shot blue zap at Abraham Lincoln and his body disappeared, so he was just a head. Abraham Lincoln's head fell down out of the sky and landed on the top of the tree.

Nothing moves. The blood flows and the tears fall, but it cannot move; only remember.

Chowlie and we4;5ny8 looked down at Abraham Lincoln's head, who said this thing:

the eyes! go up to the eyes!

They looked up at the gigantic eyes, but a gigantic drop landed on them and made them fall. The green blob floated over to them and began teaching them how to count. Chowlie and vny68q349p tried to fly away but they couldn't move because they were stuck in mud. The little clouds dropped the excited guy, and he also got stuck in mud. Then Chowlie and 9pawer89pqer7 got out somehow and flew away. They flew up and up to the gigantic eyes, and the gigantic eyes got smaller and smaller instead of bigger and bigger and so did the drops. Soon they were just regular size, and there was a face attached to them.

Chowlie asks the broken body if he can please have his ball back, and also if it knows where any candy is, and if it does can it go and get some and bring it to him. The broken hands rub the tears out of the broken eyes, and the broken eyes see Chowlie. There's a hole in the ground, and through the hole, Chowlie. Slowly holds out the trembling, broken arm, and places the ball into Chowlie's hand. Pulls back and looks at Chowlie, and Chowlie looks back at the broken body. The tears come back, and the broken mouth makes a new shape. They look at each other forever and ever, then the hole slams shut. The broken body slumps forward, goes limp. Does not try to open the hole. Does not try to move.

The sun came back on. Chowlie and qwe9p58e5t89p3bv89 slowly floated down to the ground and went over to the green blob. They sat down quietly in front of it and it went back to teaching them how to count. Chowlie made a serious face and nodded, and so did we9pr8wey7, and so did Abraham Lincoln. Not the excited guy, though; he was still stuck in the mud. The green blob kept teaching and teaching, and they all kept nodding and nodding, and listening to what the green blob was saying. q34seri9er7 turned into a gray blob, Chowlie grew a beard, Abraham Lincoln’s head turned into a skull, and the excited guy just stayed regular. The green blob turned gigantic. Then the excited guy started making lots of noise, and the green blob told him to stop it. Chowlie and we49p834978e457 went over to the excited guy, who was pointing at a hole in the ground.

They look into the hole and see the broken body lying face down on the ground. Chowlie’s about to tell it to get up and come and play with them, but Abraham Lincoln tells him not to. 45nbvw7w3owet45 reaches into the hole and pulls the broken body up and out of the hole. The broken body moves for the first time in ages and raises the broken head. Stares about in wonder. 389q3498p347o puts it down and they all start doing a kooky dance. Abraham Lincoln starts making music, and they all do a kooky dance. Not the green blob, though; it’s telling everybody to stop it, but no one’s listening to it. Everyone makes a circle around the green blob and dances the kooky dance and laughs and laughs. Even the broken body is laughing. Tears are streaming down the broken face and it’s dancing and laughing. Chowlie and 48w34bw47 grab the broken arms and take the broken body flying up into the air with them, and they all do the kooky dance in the air. The green blob keeps floating around and telling them all to stop it. Chowlie, 39p48bvvqb79bv, and the broken body all fly over to the top of the tree and dance a circle around Abraham Lincoln, and Abraham Lincoln teaches the broken body how to fly by itself.

The broken body flies straight up into the sky, up and up until everyone can barely see it, and then it swoops back down doing the kooky dance with them really fast. It chases after the little clouds, flies in loops and circles all over the place, and flies into the tree and weaves in and out of the branches. Then it flies up to Abraham Lincoln and picks him up with the broken hand, and does the kooky dance with Abraham Lincoln. Chowlie and qwoerq3o4tu7 fly up to join him and they all do the kooky dance together, tossing Abraham Lincoln back and forth like a ball so they can dance with him. The broken body flies down to the excited guy and tries to pull him up into the air, but the excited guy gets really excited and bites the broken arm. The broken arm pulls back in surprise, and it strikes the excited guy in the head.

The music stops. The excited guy falls down. Everyone stares looking at the broken body, and looking at the excited guy to see if he’ll get up, but he doesn’t. Abraham Lincoln yells and starts crying. Everybody slowly floats down to the ground. Chowlie and w479q3487bq3b7 are making a new face.

Nothing happens for a long time, but then the green blob floats over to the broken body. It says that the broken body has done a terrible thing, and now it can never come back here again. The broken body holds up the broken hands and tries to say something, but nothing comes out. The green blob shoots the broken body with blue zap, and everything pops.

Pops. Fizzles. And goes out.

The broken body can't move. It doesn't even try to move. The broken body doesn't try to move, but even if it did, it couldn't. It just lies there, curled up, still and silent and cold. It will remain like that for a long, long time, and then the broken mouth will start to move. From the broken throat through the broken mouth will slowly begin to come sounds, soft at first, but more and more. They'll tell truths to the broken body, and lies as well, and everything in between, about what is, what was, and what is yet to be, until Chowlie is forgotten.
