He is sitting as a sentry
All the people passing by
She pauses with a smile
As she leaves he heaves a sigh.

And he sings,
“Do you know I love you,
“Do you know what I do is for you?
“Do you know that you captured my heart?”

She drifts into a memory.
She's missing his embrace.
And like a sweet dream come true,
She feels his hand upon her face.

And she sings,
“Do you know I love you,
“Do you know what I do is for you?
“Do you know that you captured my heart?”

She is sitting in a corner
And tears stain her face
She writhes with the anguish
Of the guilt of this place

But He's hanging from a tree,
And the blood pours from His side.
The weight of the world,
How we failed, if we even tried.

And He sings,
“Do you know I love you,
“Do you know what I do is for you?
“Do you know that you captured my heart
“And do you know that I won't ever change?”

They're sitting at a chapel
In the first breath of dawn
Sing for joy of Sonrise,
Now the darkness is gone.
And we sing,
Oh, we sing:
“Do You know we love you?
“Make what we do to be for you.
“Do You know that You captured our hearts
“And we won't ever change?”
