‘She stood silently outside the Head of Investigations’ door, excited about her new finished report that she was to had in, and receive her next assignment. That is, until her ears breached the door and heard what was going on within.
“We’ve got a homunculus pin-pointed sir,” she heard someone inside the door announce, a little too confidently than she would have liked.
She felt her heart start to pound faster, and her hands clasping the manila folder begin to shake a little. It couldn’t be her, it just couldn’t. There were plenty of other Homunculi out there, so there was no chance that it would be her. Not a chance.
“Where’s it located?” she heard her commander’s deep voice echo through the wood.
“On the eastern side of Central, in one of the older industrial warehouses. You would have never guessed it! It’s like they’ve been living it up in there. They have just about anything you’d need to live, it looks like three of them had been there at one time, but we’ve only spotted the one. She’s adorable, I’ll admit.”
“Good. Hunt down who exactly she was, and we’ll get rid of it.”
