I like saying
“I love you”
and meaning it.
But that occasion
is quite the rare one.
I know last night
I whispered I loved you
but I’ve been know to lie.
While you felt high
on those three words
I just felt weighed down
with guilt.

I like saying

And I like you.
Now give me a reason
to love you…
to say “I love you”
and mean it.
