And somewhere there’s joy I’m sure

And somewhere there a better life for you

But not here

Not with me, not here, not anywhere near here

But letting you go’s the hardest thing

Slitting wrist then writing songs

Watching it slip away for good this time

When you’re too high to speak

And to low to give a dam

I wonder if you still remember the good times

And the words are falling faster then before

And they dance in the wind

Before hitting the ground

‘Cause they’re worth nothing anyhow

But you’re lies were never more beautiful

What’s the point in staying

If you just want to be alone

What the point in caring

When trying not enough for you

What the point in friends anymore

Love, I’ve heard can stop the pain

But love was never there

If you mean when you promise

Then do you love her as well still

I’m not an idiot and I’m not blind

A promise to you, truth written in gold

To break means to hate

And a promise to me, just a fleeting memory

And you never ever meant it

Now what’s the point in staying?
