its a sad, sad situation
to overcome the grueling battle of existence
overthrow the reign of uncertainty and
come to realize that meaning is meaningless
that anguish and heartache is the muse of beauty
and optimists really measure their life in moments of misery

the sadness stems with a crippling ache
not from knowing that grief is inevitable
but more so from that constant dissatisfaction
from leading a fruitless and motionless revolution
keeping a face that is always content
and confining a raging frustrated soul in the prison behind it
