i look into your eyes. maybe you’re someone else.

i remember their warmth, their glimmer, their awkwardness.

they drew me to you. you grew on me.

So sweet. So nice. to be treated like I’m loved.

So cute. So safe. to be held in your grasp.

built an understanding.

you were my main man.

its different now. their words broke our bridge.

i wish I could speak bluntly . maybe then you’d realise.

No more gentle gestures,

No one to feed me safety.

we’ve lost each other, blow into matters of everyday

but please guide me in the right direction

‘you know I love you right?’ my eyes ask softly.

i look into your eyes, the warmth, the glimmer,

the spontaneity, all faded with grey

Maybe,

maybe you’re someone else.
