This is the drink of devils

This is the drink of saints

It all depends on how much of it

You’re planning to partake

It can lend you false courage

And give you fake relief

Cause you to do many things

And make you take a leak

Its illegal to those not of age

Though they drink of it too

A substance of many designs

This multi flavored brew

I’m not supposed to drink and drive

(I shouldn’t drink at all)

But somehow I find it far too easy

To get some alcohol

When one has it in small amounts,

The world seems to be bright

And when one has too much of it

The world wont stay upright

The dangers of this beverage

Far outweigh the good

But everyone seems to drink it

Regardless if they should

It has caused many a death

And many a marriage too

Both end only in heartache

And sometimes the need to sue

It is often featured in the bible

In celebration and in sin

Put in jugs and turned from water

Or consumed until drunken

What is so special

About this silly little drink

Its so unique and harmless after all

It only affects the way we act look and think

Should it be allowed to stay

Or should it have to leave

If we must kick it out,

Please don’t forget to take away it’s keys!
