Insanity

Let me teach you the meaning of such a word.

In a glass box of torments so real

That time is a maelstrom of meaningless events

To feel the itching desire to know every second.

Paranoia my dear one.

To question every smile that passes along my glistening lips

As I have questioned every thought that passed behind your dark eyes

Who were you thinking of as you held my hand and caressed my fingers with your own?

There is poetry in an insane mind. I sing mine so true.

My Love has dissolved into nothing more than darkness

A mystery of curves and thought patterns carved in my flesh.

The room is deserted

Yet I feel as if all the eyes of the world are on me

I choke

You reach out to me and I wince at your burning touch

I want to be here with you, weaving memories of our happy future

You assure me it was just a small mistake you'll never make again

But I still reside in a faraway place of twisted blackness and pain

I heard the whispered words you breathe

"You are my only one"

They do nothing to ease my tortured mind.

Just let me cry inthis hollow state

So I can dutifully mourn my emptiness

You gripped my life with a proposal and diamond ring of gold

Then ripped yourself away from me in 3 seconds

Finding insanity in my induced paranoia

As I found my insanity in your silence

“Do you Love her?”

I never felt a silence so deadly
