The Fax Machine from Hell

As I hunch o’er my computer

Wishing that I could so shoot her

The fax machine- I mean to hurt

Its beeping, keeping me alert

This essay I attempt to word

Is interrupted by absurd

Beeping by the fax machine-

The one I want to hurt- I mean

Unending are its mocking notes

The same each time, but more remote

Becomes my sanity each ring

Harassed by this unpleasant thing

Every time the phone does sound

I pick it up to hear compound

The voice on yonder end does yell

A digital beep that comes from hell

Some hour this misery will end

And I this fax machine will rend

Though I wish it would stop alone

Or at least get off of the phone
