Chapter Eleven: You're Leaving With A Broken Nose
Devan was nothing but a memory for the first eleven months they were living there. By this time, Criss and Justin had been dating about a year.
Their relationship had to start going somewhere.
And Kyle knew this.
But he didn't want it to happen.
"Kyle," he knew what was coming. "You know that Justin and I have been dating for almost a year and that our relationship needs to go somewhere...Right?" Criss swallowed, hoping Kyle wouldn't take the news too bad. He nodded. "Well...Devan has said nothing to you in the past eleven months and that's a good thing. But it doesn't mean he's gone for good. So...Justin and I wondered if you'd like to get a house with us,"
Kyle's eyes lit up. "You guys would do that?" Cirss smiled.
"Of course. You're my best friend and I love you. I don't want anything bad to happen to you,"
His roommate's eyes twinkled even more. "You're the greatest, Criss, you guys...I love you guys,"
Within the next two weeks, they were ready to move into a two story house--with all three of their paychecks put together, they could afford it.
By the time Christmas rolled around, they were already moved in completely. Donovan and Traci were visitin Traci's parents and Jonothan was with his parents. Kyle was spending time with his boyfriend Ryan and so Criss and Justin were alone.
"Merry Christmas, Justin," Criss said, smiling at his boyfriend. Maybe it was a little odd, his relationship with Justin and how it began. But they loved each other.
And that's what matters.
"Merry Christmas, Criss," his boyfriend replied. "I want to give you my gift..." he kissed Criss. "...a little early..."
Criss grinned, knowing what it was.
The third time that they had sex.
The first time being the time when Justin said it didn't mean anything. The second being Criss' doing.
And now...the third.
Justin kissed Criss again and pulled him into the bedroom.
What a Christmas to remember.
"I love you," Justin said, an arm wrapped around Criss, the other behind his head.
"I love you, too," Criss mumbled. After two and a half hours of sex, he was worn out. The room smelled of sex and blood.
Blood? Well...a couple of bites went a little too far. The memory made Criss mentally giggle.
"Merry Christmas," Criss replied, slowly drifting off to sleep.
Justin sighed, knowing his boyfriend was sleeping. For a long time, Justin couldn't believe he was dating him. After all, he did have sex with Criss and told him it didn't mean anything.
But after so long, Justin knew Criss really cared about him, that he wasn't faking it.
That he loved Justin.
And that Justin loved him back. In the past year, he had found someone that he wanted to spend the rest of his pathetic life with. He wanted Criss to be there for the horrible times, wanted him to be there when he was jumping with happiness.
He didn't ever want Criss to leave. And he never wanted to leave Criss. He sighed and snuggled closer to Justin.
He smiled to himself, knowing his parents would love Criss and that he'd have to bring him home to them one day.
After all, they were living together.
But that could wait.
His parents still thought he was a God-worshipping freak.
That probably wouldn't make them happy to see him. Which is why he needed to tell them about being gay.
About Criss. About living with Criss. But that could wait.
He just wanted to lie there in their bed, Criss lying next to him, still naked from the sex.
He just wanted this moment to never end. He felt like the happiest man in the world because he had all of this. A good job, a nice house, a wonderful family.
And with Criss lying next to him, Justin felt like nothing bad could ever happen to them.
The world could end and it wouldn't matter.
Because Justin had Criss.
And he felt content with that.
Sometimes, you just have to know when to end it all.
