Something has changed
Between you and I.
I feel something's different,
And I can't deny
The distance we're apart
I have, as-of-late, been feeling.
And in a painful twist,
Clouded emotions, over my heart,
Have been stealing.
The words you once spoke
With such immense sincerity
Now seem to have disappeared;
Become only a rarity.
And, even then, I note the falter,
That one second of hesitance,
In your voice, before you speak.
It seems that absence really does
Cause the heart to grow weak.
For, I'm feeling the doubt,
And I know you are too.
And, it's caused me to wonder,
Do you still love me too?
