Here is a song about…um…maidens. Through the seasons. -nod- I know, kinda random, whatever. It’s vaguely a holiday song: verse two could be midsummer, three samhaine, and four ostara, but that wasn’t so intentional. Anyhow, enjoy!

)O(

Maidens will gather

Weary of sorrow

Fearing

Fearing

What comes tomorrow

But these same maidens

Put off their troubles

Raise up their eyes and their voices in song

-----

CHORUS:

Tirra lirra, tirra lalu,

Tirra lirra tirra lirra lirra

Tirra lirra, tirra lalu,

Tirra lirra tirra lirra

-----

Maidens will gather

Sun at it’s crowning

Running

Running

Wheat in it’s browning

Dancing together

In fields golden

Shouting in laughter and shouting in song

-----

CHORUS

-----

Maidens will gather

In a night hour

Spinning

Spinning

Circles for power

Then in the darkness

In their own world

Magic is twined in the words of their song

-----

CHORUS

-----

Maidens will gather

Keen for a romance

Greening

Greening

Seeking a slow dance

Rivers a-rushing

Sun shining brightly

Hair filled with flowers and mouths filled with song

-----

CHORUS

-----

Maidens will gather

No longer maidens

Knowing

Knowing

Their life is faded

Hands holding tightly

As they step forward

Soon other children will pick up their song.

-----

CHORUS

-----
