Why

-michael hoblak

There is a man. He walks alone in the world. He has no name, no face, no identity. Where it is he walks to, no one knows, not even himself. But he walks regardless, marching on to the destination that does not exist.

For this man, time, “past, present, future,” it matters not – they are merely words, akin to love, joy, happiness; hate, pain, suffering. Peace and violence. None of this makes a difference, it does not affect him – he lives on one thing alone, the acceptance of his own mortality; of life, and of death.

This is why he walks, not where – he walks because of death, not towards it; he walks because of life, not away from it. That is all there is to it.

There is a man. He walks alone in the world. He has no name, no face, no identity. Where it is he walks to, no one knows, not even himself. But he walks regardless, marching on to the destination that does not exist.

But the where does not matter. Only the why.
