REVISED VERSION
I found love on MySpace.
Wrote a poem,
‘Cause words don’t stay in place.
It started as a random add,
Friend of a friend,
And he didn’t look too bad.
No one would ever predict,
I’d fall fast, as
Our conversations clicked.
One day he leaves,
Without warning,
And I’m stuck to grieve.
We wasted the days
In shyness
And he slipped away.
Instead of asking how,
I should be glad
That he’s in paradise now,
I’ve been trying,
I swear. But my heart
Won’t stop crying
ORIGINAL VERSION
I’d like to say, “Congrats
All of my doubts
Belong in the past.”
I finally know
That you’re real.
So…
I love you,
And you
Love me too.
I’d like to meet
Somewhere nice.
But time has me beat.
I fear I’m too late.
And there won’t be
A pleasant date.
It's so much more
It's a funeral
And it's yours
We squandered the days
We could’ve spent together
And you slipped away.
I’ve been trying,
I swear. But my heart
Won’t stop crying.
