Pierce your ears.

What for?

They would look nice on you.

I don’t want to look nice.

Stop wearing those jeans.

Why should I?

You would look prettier in a skirt.

I don’t want to look pretty.

Change.

For whom?

For me.

I’m not changing anything for anyone but me.

(Not exactly sure how the poem came to mind. I think it was after one of those historical battles over my hair…)
