Chapter 2

Lyna perched in a tree, her phoenix form ruffled up, eyes closed. She was listening to the other Ahyou's Wind-Whispering. She replied, softly,

"I'm the one who should be complaining."The others were quiet for a moment, then started to laugh at the 'joke', one materializing in front of her,

"You are right, half-breed. We agree with you." Lyna became human, reaching out her hand to the Ahyou, who smiled and took her hand. It was a young male, about two inches taller than her. His hair was a white as snow, his skin tanned, and his eyes the same gold as her own. He wore naught but a pair of bluejeans. No shoes, no shirt.

"My lady." He suddenly pulled her into his firmly sculpted chest,

"My love....My liege....My lady." He looked down into her eyes, noticing the confusion, and laughed, whispering an Ahyou's 'comfort' words, like, 'Noone can see us' or 'I will be yours alone...' She looked up at him, wanting to slap him. At that exact moment, his lips crashed on to hers. It was perfect, it was mind-blowing, and Lyna couldn't even think. She did not love this Ahyou, and she wanted to push him away. The Ahyou's magic in its siren like qualities, kept her immobile. She bit his lip, and he laughed.

When his hand ran behind her ear, she gasped. He took advantage of that distraction to explore her mouth. That's when Lyna snapped, and came back to reality. She pushed him away, disgusted,
"YOU SICK FREAK!" She yelled, slapping him hard. Amusement showed in his eyes, while anger burned deep in hers. There was a type of beauty about the deadly bird as she stalked towards him.
"Ryko." He whispered to her. Lyna stopped in her tracks. Her eyes simmered with curiosity beneath flaming rage that was consuming her,
"What did you just say?"
"My name is Ryko."She backed away, snarling. He had to be lying. Ryko was her father. Ryko was dead. And he looked nothing like...him...did he? The eyes, the skin, the form, it was all familiar.
"Stay away from me, trickster. I want none of you."The Ahyou laughed, a deep rumbling chuckle, that reminded her of her father,
"You would be best off choosing one of us or one of your own. Because soon, my liege, your choice of two of another race....will become the choice for the world."
"What do you-"The young man shook his head, becoming intangible, and drifting away on the winds.

Lyna was left sitting alone, thinking over what was had been said. 'My choice? The choice for the world? What in the name of Makute does that mean?'She was so confused. Little did the half-phoenix know that somewhere in Makute's kingdom, and within Zanaru's kingdom, the battle was only beggining.....

-In Makute's Kingdom-

"WHERE IS HE?!" Angels were running to and fro, looking for someone. One was the bright eyed entity that Tasuya had encountered years ago, and Ryko and Tasuya were among them as well. Tasuya Silverwings walked easily into the rose gardens,

"Kael? Kael, come out, please?" A young man of about eighteen peeked out from behind one of the bushes. Black hair fell long into his blue eyes, and his skin was as pale as the moon itself. He smiled at her, a fraile smile,

"Hey, Tasuya."He said, softly. The young woman looked at Kael's tattered black wings, then at him. The young angel had been captured and tortured by demons soon after he had become an angel,

"Kael, I need you to do me a favor. My daughter, Lyna,"
"The hottie?"

"Yes. Her. Now, she is the one who will decide the fate of earth and the Kingdoms. HE wants you to be the one to recruit her here. Win her over. Please Kael, do it for me?"The young male angel's eyes lit up. Tasuya was slightly worried about what Kael would do to her baby girl. She followed him as he skipped happily towards Makute's throne room. The seemingly broken angel now seemed so strong and sure as he ran swiftly towards the room. He had fallen for Tasuya and Ryko's daughter long ago when he had first seen her. The girl still held something of an innocent air, and had the fiery spirit of her father, which captivated Kael as much as her stunning, almost divine, countenance.

"So, my lord, you want me to bring the young half breed to our side?"There was an air of respect about Kael's voice as he spoke to the brilliant entity that sat on the throne before him. He did not dare look at the blindingly dazzeling light that was Makute, for fear of being rude, or insulting the great 'God'.

"Kael Blackryt. You have been summoned by Makute to bring to the Kingdom the daughter of Tasuya Silverwings and Ryko. I bid you to bring her here before the vampire, the Demon Prince Manuose, is able to steal her away to my dark brother. Now, with the blessings of the Kingdom, and of her parents, I command thee to go forth!"

-In Zanaru's Kingdom-

"ARYAN MANUOSE!" Some small demon, an imp, perhaps, red in color, stormed towards the closed, and locked, doors of the Demon Prince Manuose. He unlocked the doors with a wave of his tiny hand, revealing that he was of a higher rank than he seemed, to find the young prince lounging on his black bed with a strange book in hand, reading intently. The vampire looked up as the imp barged in, chillingly void emerald eyes glaring daggers at the creature that dared disturb him,

"Shartra, what have I told you about barging in here....WHILE I AM READING!"He yelled, his eyes burning with an inhuman rage that benifited his stature and rank and caused the imp to shrink in fear of the prince,

"M'lord, Zanaru has summoned you. Something about the half bred demi-goddess."At the mention of the girl, he shot up from his comfortable matress, taming quickly his unruly earthen brown locks that fell to his shoulders, tied back in a simple ponytail. He checked his black outfit, wiping an imagined crumb from its folds, and smiling. His flawless alabaster skin shone in the fire-like light of his room in his father's palace. He looked at Shartra,
"You should have said so before, imp. Lead me to my father."

A smirk adorned the prince's handsome face, his eyes staring unfaltering into the impossibly black eyes of his father. The two stared each other down, anger burning deep in his father's eyes, while amusement lit his own green pools.

/So you want me after the demi-goddess, don't you? her into out ways, use every ounce of black charm I have to win her onto our side, before that halfbred angel can?/ Zanaru glared heavily at his son, his black eyes watching him move around slowly. His silver hair fell to his waist, tied in a long ponytail much like his son's. He looked much like the old fashioned gentleman, but was hardly that. What do you expect from the lord of Hell?
/Of course, Aryan. That girl is as powerful as you are! DO YOU KNOW WHAT A VALUBLE ASSET SHE COULD BE TO THE DOWNFALL OF MY OH SO PERFECT AND HOLY BROTHER!/ He yelled in Aryan's head, making the boy cringe at the boisterous and crazed voice of the entity. He sighed heavily and nodded in consent to his father's wishes,
"I'll find her, and she will be mine. I do so hate to lose something that beautiful."
